welcome to great expectations tutoring

Learning English at school can feel overwhelming. It could be the daunting task of being asked to read a Victorian novel, or struggling with a GCSE exam question, or even just jotting down that first word for a creative task you have no idea how to tackle.

After 12 years of teaching, tutoring and examining in the UK and internationally within a range of different educational contexts, Alex has a proven toolkit ready to ease the stress and ensure that English becomes a lesson that feels motivating and rewarding for every student that is taught by her at Great Expectations Tutoring.

With extensive tutoring and teaching experience across the UK, London, the United Arab Emirates, China and the Middle East, Alex is equipped with the necessary knowledge and experience to ensure students studying towards a range of UK based and international examinations achieve their potential.
